“I began yoga class with Kate for 3 years due to experiencing several years of stressful and traumatic family events. These traumatic family events had left me agitated, unable to relax or concentrate and constantly tearful.
After my first class with Kate I immediately had a lovely sense of well being. However the feeling would only last for a few hours. I found it difficult to be still or to control my breathing during relaxation even for 2 minutes for quite a few weeks. With each week things improved. I found the feeling of well being lasting for the whole day along with a new feeling of calmness and clarity of thought.
After several months of classes combined with some practice at home I found I could control my breathing and the positive effects of the class would last almost a week.
At some stage possibly after about 9 months I found that I was unconsciously using yoga techniques in stressful situations, such as feeling the strength and calmness flowing through my body and realizing that I was feeling safe. My chronic shoulder problem has been greatly relieved along with increased general flexibility, strength, balance and energy. The alternate nostril breathing has also relieved the problem of painful pressure in my ears. I am grateful for Kate's knowledge, care and wisdom."

"I have been practicing Yoga with Kate for nearly a year and I find the difference it makes to my every day life and current pregnancy is just amazing- emotionally, spiritually, mentally and physically. I find that I am calmer, happier and healthier when I am practicing yoga weekly. I seem to have more patience with my 3 toddlers, feel "well- oiled" and see a vast improvement in my posture. When I became pregnant again, I skipped 4-5 weeks of Yoga and the difference I noticed was astonishing- I was not sleeping as well, my posture noticeably 'slumped', I was grumpier and dwelled upon the little things therefore making me worry more.
